Google is currently testing a voice recognition version of its search engine, for a limited number of users.
The new feature automatically detects if a microphone is available and adds a “speak now” function to the search bar.
Ustream’s Matt Schlicht Tweeted “I’m seeing Google Voice search on google.com. Works surprisingly well but is very awkward to use in the office.”
Voice Search is available for smartphones such as Android, BlackBerry and iOS. Chrome 11, the latest version of Google’s web browser, also features voice recognition.
